About the Medical Clinic

We are committed to providing high standards of care to our patients and believe that the relationship between doctors and patients is a two way thing – we have responsibilities to you and in return you have responsibilities to us, for instance in the way you use our time and the services we offer to you.  We will treat you as an individual and not just as a medical case, and we expect that you will reciprocate by treating us with courtesy and respect.

We employ fully trained Reception and Secretarial Staff, and a Practice Manager.  Our Nurse Practitioner is involved in all of our Clinics, and we have access to Health Visitors, District Nurses, Treatment Room Nurses and Chiropodists in the Health Centre.

From time to time, other health care professionals such as pharmacists or student nurses/doctors, may be observing our clinical staff during consultation for training purposes, and we may ask if you would be prepared to let them observe your consultation.  If you do not wish this, just tell the receptionist and we will make sure that they are not present during your consultation.

Violent or Abusive Patients

We expect to be treated with the same courtesy that staff will extend to you, and violent or aggressive behaviour, including use of foul language towards our staff or to ourselves, will not be tolerated and may result in your removal from the practice list.
